Google’s new OS- the Honeycomb has been designated a tablet-specific operating system by the company but it is expected that the company would use certain elements of the new OS into future smartphone-friendly versions of Android. Phandroid reported that Google has started working on building a new branch of code, dubbed GRI17 which will “bring some of the new elements” found in Honeycomb to smartphones.
