Apple yesterday held its special event in San Francisco but the much awaited came and went with Apple releasing some new products like the new iPod Touch 4G, the iTunes 10 download, Apple TV and the new iOS 4.1. But the Cupertino-based firm did not make any announcement about Verizon iPhone and white iPhone.

This was somewhat disappointing because so many were hoping for the release of these devices during yesterday’s event.

Traditionally, Apple has used the September 1 event to launch new iPod and this year also it was certain that Apple will unveil new iPod in the music-based event but rumors were strong that the company might unveil Verizon iPhone and white iPhone. But Apple CEO Steve Jobs did not say anything on these two eagerly awaited devices.

There is no denying the fact that Apple knows that millions of customers are waiting to lay their hands on white iPhone and Verizon iPhone and no one is able to fathom out why Jobs is unwilling to release these two devices.

This does not mean that Apple will not release these devices in near future. I think that Apple is delaying the release due to some serious issues and the company will definitely not want to face the problems which it faced due to antenna issues of the iPhone 4.

Apple’s silence over the issue also shows that the company is developing these two devices and it is likely that the white iPhone will go on sale later this year and Verizon iPhone will be available next year.
