Apple held its special event in San Francisco last week and millions of iPhone lovers were optimistic that Apple would make announcement regarding the release of iPhone on Verizon during the event, which was held on September 1. But it did not happen, Apple CEO Steve Jobs just chose to ignore the Verizon iphone topic and made no mention of the  iPhone Verizon leading to speculations that Apple might not release the device this year.

Apple’s decision to delay the release of the Verizon iPhone makes sense because the electronics giant is already facing receptions problems in its current iPhone 4, which went on sale from June 24 and launching a new device at this point of time will not help Apple. Also the device that found no mention was white iPhone 4. The white model of iPhone 4 is expected before the end of year.

It looks that Verizon is not planning to release the iPhone on its network too soon because the carrier is doing good business selling Android-powered devices and the company will definitely try to maintain its good show.

Meanwhile, Jobs unveiled Apple’s new generation of iPods in its San Francisco. The iPod was launched in 2001 and the company has sold 275 million iPods since then. The new iPod Touch comes loaded with frontal and back ward camera that run FaceTime similar to iPhone 4.

The 8GB model is priced at $ 229, the 32GB will cost $ 299 and 64GB for $ 399. The new version of the iPod Touch comes loaded with the Retina display, which is a 24-bit high-quality display. It was introduced by Apple with the newest version of its iPhone, the iPhone 4.
