The very much desired launch did not happen on September 1. Apple CEO, Steve Jobs made no mention of Verizon iPhone and White iPhone 4 at the Apple iPod Event. White iPhone 4 has already been delayed till later this year according to Apple and the reason cited for this delay somehow relates to production processes involved in the manufacturing of the white model of iPhone 4.

However , postponement in the introduction of the white iPhone 4 will not affect the availability of the much admired Black iPhone 4. As per Apple , the White iPhone 4 is expected to be released “later this year” .The rumors of its launch have stayed in the market since end of March this year, when it appeared in the Wall Street Journal.

Till then all those who have been waiting impatiently for the irresistible white model of their favorite iPhone4, will have to suffice by a black one only.

As for Verizon iPhone, there is still no news from Apple about its release. Apple’s exclusivity deal with AT& T is what is hindering the launch of a Verizon iPhone. For an official confirmation, all that can be done is to wait and watch. The latest rumors peg a January 2011 release for iPhone on Verizon network. But a year end release is also possible.

All that was announced at the September 1 Apple event were the redesigned iPods, while the excitement of the iPhone 4 lovers was dampened , as they had nothing new and thrilling to watch for. But still, Jobs left us with a hope for the White iPhone 4 to be ready by the end of this year!
