As scheduled, Apple held it’s much awaited event in San Francisco and Apple’s special media event is over now. The Cupertino-based firm has released some new products but the company failed to release details on two of the most popular rumors prior to the event- the Verizon iPhone and white iPhone. Steve Jobs announced iTunes, new smaller Apple TV, new iPod Touch and Nano.

Rumors were strong that Apple will make announcement regarding the release of iphone on Verizon network during the September 1 event and several websites had reported recently that Apple and Verizon are holding discussions over the release of an iPhone for Big Red.

The white iPhone 4, which is also another eagerly awaited device and Apple, knows that millions of customers are waiting for its release, was also an announcement which was expected to happen at today’s event. But Apple did not make any announcement related to its release which means that we have to wait till the end of the year to know anything concrete on the release of the white iPhone.

But Apple failed to make any announcement related to these devices and I am sure millions of iPhone lovers must be disappointed to know this. Are you a bit disappointed about the no announcement or you are happy to know that Apple CEO Steve Jobs had unveiled three more iPods.

Jobs unveiled the new iPod Touch, which has the same Retina Display, front facing camera, rear HD camera, and A4 processor as the iPhone 4, which was unveiled on June 7 during Apple’s annual showcase event the WWDC in San Francisco. He also announced iTunes 10 at the event.
