Bill Clinton, former US President, is likely to receive a practice at the altar on Saturday as he will officiate at the marriage of Representative Anthony D. Weiner and Huma Abedin, who happens of a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Many believe that Weiner’s wedding will give a good practice to the Clintons who are set for their daughter Chelsea’s marriage.
The ceremony will be organised at Oheka Castle in Huntington, N.Y., in the early evening. Confirming the news, Matt McKenna, a Clinton spokesman, told The Associated Press that Clinton would be officiating the ceremony. McKenna however, declined to divulge more details on this. Meanwhile, people close to Weiner, who represent Queens and Brookly, declined to comment.
The 45-year-old Weiner is considered as a longtime aide of Mrs Clinton. Mr Weiner, Jews by community has also been rated as the most eligible bachelors on Capitol Hill. Ms Abedin, 34, is Muslim and grew up in Saudi Arabia. Abedin had once appeared in a Vogue fashion spread.
If reports are to be believed, the two had been dating each other for over two years. The couple announced their engagement last year almost during the same period. The announcement followed Weiner’s decision not to contest for mayor of New York second time.
Reports add that the Clintons’ daughter Chelsea daughter is going to tie knots very soon. It would be first wedding in the Clintons’ family. While former President Bill Clinton still holds a position in the national/international politics, his wife Hillary Rodham Clinton has swiftly carved a niche for herself. Even incumbent President Obama is fan of Clinton’s administration skills.
