NFL quarterback and former University of Texas star, Vince Young, was cited by the police in the assault of a man who insulted the University of Texas Longhorns inside a northwest Dallas strip club early Sunday morning. Although Young was not arrested, he faces up to a $500 fine on the Class C misdemeanor charge.

Footage taken from the surveillance video shows the former University of Texas star Vince Young and Club Onyx employee Creiton Kinchen, 45, involved in an exchange of words before the scuffle in a small, crowded office area about 3:30 a.m. The footage clearly shows Kinchen flashing an upside-down "Hook 'em Horns" hand sign at Young.

"There was a conversation going on between Mr. Young and several people inside the office," said Dallas police Lt. Craig Miller, acting commander of the Crimes Against Persons Division. "One of the [club employees] makes a gesture contradictory to the University of Texas, the 'Hook 'em' sign upside down. This obviously made Mr. Young upset." Police believes that either one or both of them may have been under the influence of alcohol during the scuffle.

The Houston native is entering his fifth season with the Tennessee Titans. His Dallas attorney and agent, both chose to remain silent on the incident and did not correspond to the messages sent to them seeking their comment on the incident. Titans coach Jeff Fisher told The Tennessean on Sunday that the team was aware of the incident.

"Members of the organization have been in touch with Vince," Fisher said. "At this point, we're just gathering facts. I have nothing else to say about it. I can't speculate, can't go into detail. We're just gathering facts. I'm sure we will have a lot more information over the next few days," added Fisher.

Young was fast gone by the time police reached the club but they were able to track him down. He came to Jack Evans Police Headquarters and was cooperative in the investigation.

Although the surveillance video did not have any audio output police said that Kinchen continued to label insult after insult about the University of Texas, which Young led to a national title in 2006. Young first decided to leave the office and headed out but then returned back to give Kinchen a piece of his mind, sparking the scuffle.

This is not the first time Young brushed with the police. In 2008 he went missing with a gun on him after after mentioning suicide. Titans had to call the police to launch a search for him.
