The Police said today that they were looking for the person behind the deaths of a woman and two children whose bodies were found in a home in north Spokane.

A spokesperson for the Police, Officer Jennifer DeRuwe said that they were looking "for one specific suspect" who was believed to be in a domestic relationship with the three found dead on Friday night. The situation was described by Maj. Frank Scalise as "a potential domestic violence" situation.

The names, ages of the victims, and their cause of death were not immediately released. DeRuwe said that she could not reveal the relationship of the victims with each other. She said, "Several different children live in the home and we don't know exactly who is there. We're getting piecemeal reports from friends and neighbors."

The Police responded to a 911 call regarding a dead body arrived at the scene to find three bodies instead. The neighborhood is near a main arterial that goes through the city, a few blocks away from a park, said DeRuwe.

DeRuwe added that the officers who arrived at the scene could only verify the conditions of the victims before they were forced to leave and fetch a search warrant for further investigation.
